I Finally Bought One.

Paid $65 from a real awesome old man. Its not in too bad of shape for a 1948. I think both sides were surprised, I wasn’t expecting a 70+ year old man, and he wasn’t expecting two college kids.

My plan is to sand the letter, and repaint them white and leave everything else as is. Throw some clear coat on top of that and build the table. I’m excited.

1.5 ft by 4 ft. So you were pretty close.

Awesome. Did you tell the old man your plans? I got mine from. Guy in his 40’s with a couple kids that intended to make a bench from it, but didn't want it falling on his kids in the garage. He paid $150 a while ago. He liked the idea of a table. Mine is 72x27 I think.

I did, he was pretty surprised that I was interested in cars in the first place. He Assumed I was an artist.
